Disclaimer

Effective date: May 13, 2026

This Disclaimer covers product-specific risks unique to how TicketRelief works: what our AI tools can and cannot do, what our lawyer profiles do and do not guarantee, and what it means to rely on this Platform for a legal matter. It supplements our Terms of Service (which governs your contract with us, fees, liability, and your rights as a user) and our Privacy Policy (which covers how we handle your personal information).

Note on scope:TicketRelief's status as a technology platform (not a law firm), the absence of any solicitor-client relationship with TicketRelief, and third-party service disclaimers are all covered in our Terms of Service. This page focuses on the AI-specific and product-specific risks not addressed there.

1. Nothing on This Platform Is Legal Advice

All Platform content — blog posts, FAQs, demerit point summaries, offence descriptions, fine estimates, outcome guidance, intake prompts, and any automated analysis of your ticket — is general information only, not legal advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified Ontario lawyer or paralegal who has reviewed the specific facts of your situation.

Traffic law is highly fact-specific. The outcome of any matter can depend on your prior driving record, local court practices, the conduct of the issuing officer, available disclosure, procedural history, and the exact version of an HTA provision in force on the date of the alleged offence. No automated tool or informational resource on this Platform can account for all of those variables.

2. Accuracy of AI and Automated Features

The Platform uses automated tools, including optical character recognition (OCR) and AI-assisted parsing, to read and extract information from uploaded ticket images and PDFs. These tools have real limitations you should be aware of:

Always verify extracted ticket details against your physical ticket before making any decisions. Do not rely on automated output alone when assessing demerit points, fine amounts, or deadlines.

3. No Guarantee of Lawyer Acceptance or Legal Outcomes

TicketRelief does not guarantee that any Participating Professional will review, respond to, accept, or take on your matter. Lawyers and paralegals independently decide whether to accept cases based on their availability, practice focus, conflicts of interest, and professional judgment.

TicketRelief makes no representations or warranties about the likely outcome of any traffic matter, the quality of legal services provided by any Participating Professional, or whether any particular professional is right for your situation. Traffic law outcomes depend on factors beyond anyone's control, and no lawyer or paralegal can ethically guarantee a specific result.

4. Lawyer and Paralegal Profiles

Profile information displayed on the Platform — including names, firms, practice areas, regions, years of experience, languages, and fee ranges — is provided by those professionals directly. TicketRelief verifies that the stated LSO number appears valid at the time of application but does not independently verify any other profile details on an ongoing basis. TicketRelief does not endorse any Participating Professional or make any representation about their competence, success rates, or suitability for your matter.

Before retaining any lawyer or paralegal, independently verify their current LSO licence status and standing through the Law Society of Ontario's public directory.

5. Reliance on This Platform

You use the Platform and rely on any content, analysis, or matching it provides at your own risk. TicketRelief expressly disclaims liability for your reliance on Platform content, automated analysis, demerit point estimates, legal outcome guidance, or Participating Professional communications, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The full limitation of liability is set out in our Terms of Service.

If you have a pending legal matter, a tight deadline, or a serious charge such as stunt driving, careless driving, or any 6-point offence, consult a licensed Ontario lawyer or paralegal promptly. This Platform is a starting point, not a substitute for professional legal advice.
